CODAworx has nominated Tampa International Airport's 21-foot flamingo art sculpture "Phoebe" for a prestigious public art competition.

The gigantic flamingo was named one of the top 100 most successful projects incorporating commissioned art into interior, architectural, or public areas.

"Home" by Matthew Mazzotta is a floor-to-ceiling art piece depicting a hand-sculpted resin and fiberglass flamingo slowly dipping its head beneath the surface of the water.

It is a component of the airport's public art program, which began in March 2020.

The prize is eligible for voting until July 31. People's Choice winners will be the top two projects with the most votes.

The winners will be notified in late August. To vote for your favorite, visit Codaworx’s website.
