Fourth of July is almost here, and while cities across Tampa Bay are preparing their annual fireworks celebrations, the Tampa Bay Observer rounded up some alternative ways to watch the shows, from rooftop bars and waterfront restaurants to boat rentals and dinner cruises.

GetMyBoat

GetMyBoat is a Florida-based boat rental company offering dozens of boat rental and charter options throughout the Tampa Bay area.

This Fourth of July, GetMyBoat offers spectators the opportunity to watch the fireworks from the water while avoiding large crowds. Many of the available rentals also include a captain.

Booking soon is recommended, as many rentals for July 4 are already reserved. However, availability remains for July 3 and July 5.

Here are Val Streif's, GetMyBoat's marketing manager, recommendations for July 4:

1. Pontoon with waterslide - starting at about $240 per hour, including a captain.

2. Luxury catamaran charters - starting at about $400 per hour.

3. Affordable Party Boat 24ft Luxury Pontoon - tarting at $210 per hour with a captain.

4.19ft Stingray Deckboat in Clearwater - self-operated, starting at $47 per hour.

Lower Deck

Lower Deck is hosting its Hello Sunset Party with waterfront views, cocktails and music by Joe Maz while guests enjoy fireworks throughout the area.

Ulele is celebrating America’s 250th on the Sunset Lawn with views of Tampa’s fireworks show.

Adirondack seating is available for up to four guests and requires a reservation.

Reservations and tables for the evening include table-side service, festive party favors, a limited food and bar menu, and valet parking.

Sal y Mar Rooftop Bar

Sal Y Mar is hosting a rooftop party beginning at 7 p.m. for spectators looking to enjoy the city's fireworks without the large crowds.

The event will feature drink specials, a live DJ, skyline views and a coastal-inspired dinner.

American Social

American Social is hosting a fireworks watch party with music and drinks all day and night.

During the day, guests can watch the boat parade and water ski show taking place in front of the Convention Center.

Armature Works

From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Armature Works will host a variety of Fourth of July festivities.

The event will feature a kids zone, a hot dog-eating competition, live entertainment, views of the boat parade and a fireworks show.

Yacht Starship Dining Cruise

Yacht StarShip Dining Cruise is offering a two-hour cruise featuring dinner, drinks and a DJ while guests enjoy the fireworks finale.

The dress code is resort casual, and all ages are welcome aboard.
