Sun blazing and music filling the air, fans packed into Coachman Park as Country Thunder Florida took over the waterfront for a weekend of live country music and festival fun.

The three-day festival features more than 20 country artists performing across two stages, drawing crowds from across the Tampa Bay area.

As guests entered the venue Friday, rows of vendors lined the walkways between stages, offering everything from festival merchandise and handcrafted clothing to drinks and food trucks. Attendees could choose from a variety of beverage tents while enjoying live performances throughout the afternoon and evening.

One vendor, Fashion to the Rescue, showcased handmade and upcycled clothing while also supporting animal rescue organizations through festival sales.

“I love country music, that’s the main reason I’m here. I also make these T-shirts that I upcycle,” said owner Maria Marsden.

Marsden said each month her business donates proceeds to a different animal rescue organization. Last month’s featured rescue was Skyway Cats.

“These rescue T-shirts are $35, and the entire price goes to the rescue,” Marsden said.

Across the park, festivalgoers relaxed on blankets and lawn chairs while others danced near the stages as artists performed. Event officials repeatedly reminded guests to stay hydrated throughout the weekend due to the Florida heat and sunny conditions.

Guests had the option to purchase single-day or three-day wristbands at several ticket levels. The Diamond VIP experience included shaded seating, food, drinks and air-conditioned areas for attendees looking to cool off from the heat.

Attendee Brad Taylor said he purchased a three-day wristband along with Diamond Club access.

“I’m here because I love country music, and I’m most looking forward to seeing Zach Top,” Taylor said.

Cowboy hats, boots and cold drinks were common sights throughout the festival grounds as fans embraced the country concert atmosphere.

Vendors at the event included Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Sun Cruiser, Señorita Cabana Club, Crown Royal, Tequila Comisario, Yuengling, Tito’s, Ben & Jerry’s and Peanut Patch, among others.

Hurricane Help Florida also hosted a tent where attendees could bid on a guitar signed by one of the festival performers.

Friday’s lineup on the Ram Main Stage included Deltona, Elizabeth Nichols, Randy Houser and Gavin Adcock.

Saturday’s performances feature Solon Holt, Cole Goodwin, Gretchen Wilson, Mac McNown and Zach Top.

Sunday’s lineup includes Jay Webb, Dasha, Braxton Keith, Shaboozey and Kane Brown, while additional performances will continue throughout the weekend on the Shoreline Stage.

With live music, festival food and sunny weather along the waterfront, Country Thunder is bringing thousands of country music fans to Clearwater for a full weekend of entertainment.
