Naples-based artist Veronica Winters remakes mystical experiences into visual narratives that bridge the gap between traditional art and contemporary spiritual exploration. Through her surreal figurative oil paintings and colored pencil works, Winters invites viewers to enter a realm where imagination, realism, and mysticism coalesce.
“In color, figure, and symbols, I explore the interconnectedness of everything living in the Universe to understand the meaning of life,” says Winters, who holds an MFA degree and has established a studio in Naples, Florida.
Winters, who was born in Russia, has developed a unique artistic voice that extends beyond the surrealist traditions established by masters like Magritte, Varo, and Dali. Her visionary art style aims to bring us into the heart-centered world, guiding viewers from what she describes as “mundane and hopeless to inspired and forward-looking.”
The artist’s work has gained national recognition particularly for her colored pencil techniques, which led to the publication of two instructional books: “The Colored Pencil Manual” and “How to Color Like an Artist” by Dover Publications in New York. Her artistic vision appears across multiple prestigious platforms including Strokes of Genius, the American Art Collector, and the International Artist Magazine.
Winters’ formal training includes degrees from Oklahoma State University (BFA) and Penn State University (MFA), complemented by studies at the Grand Central Academy of Art and the Art Students League in New York. This classical foundation informs her visionary art to realistically capture the relationship between mind, body, and spirit.
The artistic community has also benefited from Winters’ philanthropy, with her work being donated to various non-profit organizations including Imagine Children’s Health Center, Humane Society Naples in Florida, and The Seeds of Learning in California.
Winters creates visionary art that examines cosmic connections while maintaining technical excellence. Her paintings serve as both personal and collective healing tools, which she believes contribute to “the creation of a heart-centered world filled with light.”
The artist invites art collectors and enthusiasts to follow her practice, as Winters continues to develop symbolic visual narratives that envision “a loving world without violence, judgment and fear” while incorporating human experiences in her art.
