The Davis Islands waterfront home once occupied by NFL legend Tom Brady has returned to the market, offering buyers a chance to own a property that has served as the backdrop for numerous national commercials.
Located at 588 Riviera Drive, the 6,551-square-foot contemporary residence became Brady’s home after he moved from New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020. The property gained attention not only as the quarterback’s residence but also as a filming location that brought significant production revenue to the Tampa area.
Film Tampa Bay Commissioner Tyler Martinolich previously estimated that Brady brought “tens of millions of dollars” in commercial productions to Tampa since signing with the Bucs. These included spots for major brands like Tostitos and EA Sports, with many filmed at his Davis Islands residence.
The modern waterfront home features floor-to-ceiling windows, six bedrooms, and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Its high-end amenities include a rooftop terrace, custom wine cellar, elevator, pool and spa, plus a private boat lift and dock. The primary bedroom suite on the second floor boasts 13-foot windows overlooking Hillsborough Bay, offering panoramic water views.
The property has had an interesting history in the Tampa real estate market. Initially listed for $14 million in 2022 around the time of Brady’s divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen, the price was later reduced to $12.5 million. When it didn’t sell, the home was offered as a high-end rental for $60,000 per month.
Before moving to 588 Riviera Drive, Brady and Bündchen rented baseball Hall of Famer Derek Jeter’s much larger 22,000-square-foot mansion nearby, nicknamed “St. Jetersberg,” for a reported $75,000 monthly. That property eventually sold for $22.5 million in 2021, setting a record for the Tampa Bay region.
Most recently, Brady has been in the spotlight for his Super Bowl commercial for Duracell, where he humorously appeared to “power down” while broadcasting. While no longer residing in Tampa full-time, his impact on the local economy continues through his commercial appearances and connections to the area.
Real estate experts note that the property’s association with Brady and its history as a commercial filming location may add to its appeal for potential buyers seeking a luxury home with celebrity pedigree.
