Tampa will celebrate 813 Day on Aug. 13, with special activities, discounts and events across the city honoring the community and Hillsborough County.
Florida Aquarium
Guests can purchase aquarium tickets and receive $8.13 off general admission. Inside the aquarium, visitors can also enjoy Tampa-inspired specials at Café Seventy One.
The aquarium is also leaning into the 8-1-3 theme with special animal activities. Eight African penguins will explore the Shark Reef, one parrot will take flight and three North American river otters will perform tricks for treats.
These special animal activities will encourage natural behaviors while celebrating the love of Hillsborough County.
Suncoast Credit Union
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., celebrate the second annual 813 Bash at the Tampa Bay Visitor Center. The event celebrates the importance of local businesses, community members and residents in supporting tourism.
The event will feature a variety of vendors, including Tampa Bay sports team mascots, food, drinks, local businesses, activities and free giveaways.
The first 50 people to visit the Unlock Tampa Bay Visitor Center table will receive an 813 Day T-shirt.
