Resolute Recordings officially launched this week as a sister label to Affiant Records, led by a team of music industry veterans who believe authenticity trumps insincerity. Their mission is straightforward—find talented rock bands and give them the time and resources to grow.
"Resolute Recordings has been a vision of mine for a while now," said William J. Metzger. "I'm excited to be able to work so closely with our artists on both the creation, production, and releases of their music. We are a group of creative professionals that will set the standard for music and entertainment through our writing, recording, and live performances."
First Signing Shows the Vision
The label's inaugural signing demonstrates their commitment to discovering raw talent. Stealing Handshakes, a four-piece alt-rock band from Pampa, Texas, caught the team's attention at the LAUNCH Music Conference in Dallas. The band has built a reputation for high-energy live shows and a sound that pulls from Foo Fighters and Soundgarden—raw and compelling, accessible but uncompromising.
Stealing Handshakes has already opened for national acts including Kansas and Horizon Theory, proving they can hold their own on bigger stages. Their rock music catalog tackles weighty subject matter: "Chloroform" confronts substance abuse and self-destruction, "The Fallout" explores relationship fractures, and "Ellipsis" examines the fragmented nature of modern dating.
The band's self-titled debut album drops April 24th, 2026, marking a significant moment for both the group and their new label home.
