Newly Renovated COACHMAN PARK officially OPENS – What to watch out for!

It’s been years in the making, but the new Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater has officially reopened to the public. Since yesterday, 28th of June, the city has planned a week of events for the grand opening that spans through another joyous event, fourth of July.

“The grand opening of Coachman Park and The Sound represents a new era of entertainment and recreation in Clearwater and marks a significant milestone for our city,” said Clearwater Mayor Brian Aungst Sr.

“Clearwater will truly be celebrating with a wonderful grand opening week that offers something for everyone,” Susan M. Crockett, Ruth Eckerd Hall president & CEO, said. Ruth Eckerd Hall is managing The Sound amphitheater at Coachman Park.

“We are very excited to play our part in bringing world-renowned artists to the festivities.”

City officials hope the $84 million Imagine Clearwater project will awaken the sleepy downtown of Tampa Bay’s third-largest city with a makeover akin to the Tampa Riverwalk or St. Pete Pier.

Moreover, the 19-acre park includes a 4,000-seat amphitheater called The Sound that will feature programming by Ruth Eckerd Hall.

If you’re wondering what makes the new Coachman Park stand out among other destinations in Clearwater, it’s the unique mix of nature, culture, entertainment, and community involvement.

For us, it isn’t merely a park; it’s a vibrant community center that caters to a diverse population, their varied interests, and their shared love for Clearwater!
