Ryan Shatzkamer is Director of Technical Services at outboundIQ, a platform that helps outbound contact centers reach more people by picking the right local caller ID for every call and keeping that phone number inventory healthy. Shatzkamer leads the technical side of getting customers live, integrating outboundIQ with their dialer, building their caller ID plans, and troubleshooting when contact rates dip. He is also the creator of a series of open-source AI tools for contact center platforms.

The problem he focuses on is straightforward: outbound teams make thousands of calls a day and fewer and fewer people pick up. A lot of that comes down to how numbers are used. Dial one number too hard and it starts getting flagged and ignored, and teams respond by buying more and more numbers. outboundIQ's view is that there is no such thing as a burned number, only how it is used. Shatzkamer's work is turning that idea into practice for each customer: the right local number for each call, spread across a healthy inventory, with the data to see what is working.

"There's no such thing as a burned number, only how it's being used," Shatzkamer said. "Most teams treat low pickup rates as a numbers problem and just buy more. What actually moves the needle is using the right number for the right call and spreading the work out. At outboundIQ we help teams start lean, watch what the data says, and grow from there."

Shatzkamer got into tech young and was working in contact center technology in his teens, becoming Director of Technical Services at outboundIQ at 21. He is 5x Five9 certified and integrates outboundIQ with contact center platforms including Five9, Genesys Cloud, NiCE CXone, and VICIdial. He builds the caller ID plans new customers launch with, sized by state and area code so teams start lean and grow based on real results.

The difference from the usual approach is that outboundIQ uses fewer numbers, uses them well, and lets the data decide. Every call gets a local caller ID matched to the person being called, usage is spread so no single number gets overworked, and teams can see exactly how each number and area code is performing. Shatzkamer is the technical bridge that makes it work inside each customer's own dialer, so teams do not have to change how they operate to get the benefit.

outboundIQ's customers are outbound contact centers that depend on people actually picking up the phone: healthcare outreach, home services, lending and insurance teams, from a few dozen agents to large operations. The people he works with day to day are contact center directors, dialer admins and IT teams.

He is also the creator of open-source AI tools including five9-mcp, genesys-mcp, and cxone-mcp, which let AI assistants build contact center setups from plain English. The Genesys launch drew about 28,000 LinkedIn impressions on day one.

Shatzkamer is based in Boca Raton, Florida, and his portfolio is available at ryan-shatzkamer.com.
