The Colorado Avalanche gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a second-round pick, 37th overall, in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, the team announced on Wednesday.
The draft pick was acquired in exchange for forward Ross Colton. In 81 regular-season games for the Lightning, he has 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) and four points (one goal, three assists) in six Stanley Cup Playoff games this season. On Saturday, he will be eligible for restricted free agency.
The Lighting now have four draft picks. The squad also has picks 179 in the sixth round, 193 in the seventh round, and 211 in the eighth round.
Round one begins at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Nashville.
