As Memorial Day weekend approaches, Tampa Bay is packed with events ranging from rooftop celebrations to comedy shows and community gatherings. Here are some events happening around the area this holiday weekend.Tampa
LIT Cigar and Martini Lounge
Florida Party Consultants will host an R&B Day Party on May 23 starting at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ Dappa Dex, DJ Hush Da Fuss, DJ Black Haze, DJ Sam and more.
Entry is free before 6:30 p.m. Ticket prices afterward range from $7 to $20 depending on the package selected.
Memorial Weekend Bar Crawl
PubCrawls.com is hosting a Memorial Weekend Bar Crawl beginning at Bad Monkey Ybor on May 23 at 4 p.m.
Tickets include admission to multiple bars, access to an afterparty, Memorial Day drink specials, food specials at select venues, a professional photographer, wristbands and a digital bar crawl map.
Check-in runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the crawl ends at 10 p.m. Tickets start at $20.
Zodiac Nightclub
The Honey Pot will host a GLOW party for the LGBTQ+ community and friends on May 24 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Doors open at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge until 10 p.m., followed by a $10 cover. Guests ages 18 to 20 can attend for $12 all night.
Sal Y Mar
Sal Y Mar is hosting its "Red, White & Rooftop" Memorial Day pool party on May 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature a live DJ along with food and drink specials. Admission is free, but tickets should be reserved in advance.
Moon Joggers
The sixth annual Memorial Day virtual 1M, 5K and 10K will take place May 25.
Participants can run or walk their selected distance anytime through June. Medals and bibs will be shipped beginning in mid-April.
Registration is $25 and includes a medal and bib. Fifteen percent of each entry will be donated to Operation Gratitude.
St. Petersburg and Clearwater
Sonder Blue House
Sonder Blue House will host a sober EDM & Mixer on May 25 for people looking to celebrate without alcohol.
Comedian Angela Hutchinson will join Army veteran DK Sook G for music and stand-up comedy performances.
The event begins at 6 p.m., with fireworks scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $87.61, or $44.79 during a two-for-one promotion.
St. Pete Brewing Company
St. Pete Brewing Company is hosting Memorial Day comedy shows on May 25 at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
RSVP registration will open soon for free admission. Tickets will cost $10 at the door.
Volleyball Solutions
Volleyball Solutions will host a beginner-friendly beach volleyball class at North Shore Park Beach Volleyball Courts on May 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will include beginner instruction, games and music. Spots are limited and tickets cost $10.
City of Clearwater
Clearwater will host its Honor Fest Memorial Day event beginning at 6 p.m. on May 25.
The event is intended to honor and express gratitude to those who served the country.
