Looking for something fun to do this weekend around Tampa Bay? The Tampa Bay Observer has gathered local events happening across the area so you can make the most of your weekend.

Friday July 31

Centre Club

At 6 p.m. or 8:30 p.m., the Centre Club is testing guests’ senses with a dining-in-the-dark dinner experience. The three-course menu includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert, all enjoyed while blindfolded.

Guests can choose from three menu options featuring meat, seafood or vegan selections.

The immersive dining experience is designed to heighten guests’ senses of taste and smell while encouraging them to experience food in a new way. Guests are required to pay a $16 service charge at the end of the experience, and beverages include an additional 20% gratuity.

Dinner reservations can be purchased online for $64.

Museum of Science & Innovation

From 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., laser light shows will take over the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre, which is the second-largest planetarium in the United States.

The event will take guests on a vivid visual journey featuring laser displays, dynamic music and dazzling special effects designed for all ages.

Drinks will be available for purchase before the show begins.

Tickets are $10 per person for members and $13 per person for non-members.

Bonnet Springs Park

Love going to the movies but don’t have the extra cash? Bonnet Springs Park is hosting a free movie-on-the-lawn night featuring Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

The movie will begin at 8 p.m., and viewers are encouraged to come dressed up, bring picnic baskets, blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the outdoor showing.

Movie concessions and photo opportunities will be available during the event.

No ticket is required.

Saturday August 1

Citrus Park Town Center

The 19th annual Back to School Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., presented by Hillsborough County Public Schools.

The free event, held on Sales Tax Holiday Saturday, will feature appearances from the ThunderBug, singing princesses, face painting, performances, games, more than 50 vendors and free backpacks for the first 1,000 children.

Shops at Wiregrass

The Fresh Market at Wiregrass will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring more than 50 vendors located along Paseo Drive.

Vendors will offer locally grown produce, plants, herbs, flowers, take-home foods, jams, dips and more.

The market will also feature local artists showcasing eco-friendly products and creator-made goods.

Armature Works

MMFitness is hosting a full-body workout from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Armature Works. The workout program is designed to help participants get lean, toned and fit through a high-energy fitness session.

The class will incorporate weight movements, kettlebells, resistance bands, plyometric ladders and more.

The workout will be held on the South Lawn and is free to the public. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and all skill levels are welcome.

Following the class, participants can learn more about MMFitness founder-led personalized workout plans and the 50 Over 50 workout class available for sign-up.

Downtown Dunedin

Every Saturday and Sunday, the Dunedin Food Tour takes guests on a three-hour walking tour through five to six of the area’s favorite breweries and restaurants while sampling house specialties.

During the tour, attendees will learn about the history of Dunedin through its cuisine and craft beer offerings.

The tour costs $94 and can be purchased online.

Sunday August 2

Hyde Park Village

The monthly Fresh Market is returning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hyde Park Village.

The market takes place on the first Sunday of every month and features more than 80 local vendors.

Shoppers will be able to browse a variety of offerings, including fresh produce, handcrafted goods, plants and more. The event will also feature live music in the Village Circle and is pet-friendly.

Armature Works

Jetset Pilates is hosting a mat Pilates class from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Armature Works. The class is designed to provide a full-body workout while emphasizing core strength, spine mobility, flexibility and improved mind-body connection.

The class will take place on the South Lawn and is free to the public. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and all skill levels are welcome.

Pinellas Brewers Market is a free monthly event held on the first Sunday of every month from noon to 4 p.m.

Guests can shop a variety of local vendors, crafters and small businesses in Pinellas Park while enjoying a cold beverage.
