Finally, the light at the end of the tunnel connecting Miami and Orlando – without highway driving for hours – is arriving!
Brightline has announced that its high-speed rail service from Orlando to Miami will begin on Friday, September 22nd, after multiple delays.
The most recent addition to the 37,350-square-foot Orlando International Airport station has a three-story contemporary design, retail shopping, a bar with light snacks, and panoramic views of approaching trains.
Brightline’s Phase 2 extension into Central Florida, which would eventually include a stop in Tampa, includes this project.
Due to system difficulties, Brightline has to refund tickets purchased between Sept. 1 and Sept. 21 for individuals who paid fares between Sept. 1 and Sept. 21.
Brightline, on the other hand, has set a Sept. 22 grand opening date, with tickets available online.
The travel from Orlando to Miami takes approximately three and a half hours, and adult tickets start at $79.
Premium prices begin at $149 and include benefits such as a private lounge, priority lounge, checked bags, and complementary food.
According to Brightline’s website, the route will include ‘stops at shiny new stations in Aventura and Boca Raton’ along the way.
