To celebrate America’s 250th birthday, ZooTampa at Lowry Park is offering free admission this summer to Hillsborough County government employees, City of Tampa team members, Hillsborough County Public School teachers and active-duty military personnel.

Officials said the free admissions are meant to recognize and thank the individuals who dedicate their time and service to the community and nation.

Eligible guests can receive free admission through Sept. 7 by presenting a valid employee ID at the ticket window. Participants will also receive a 25% discount on up to four general admission tickets so families can enjoy the experience together.

“ZooTampa is proud to pay tribute to our community heroes who work diligently to make our county and city such a wonderful place to live and work,” ZooTampa CEO Joe Couceiro said in a press release. “We also want to show our appreciation to our country’s heroes, who often sacrifice family time to protect our freedom.”

Active-duty military members and up to three dependents can also receive free admission during the same period with a valid military ID.
