Do you have plans to go outdoors this weekend? You may have to consider rescheduling them, especially on Saturday.
Based on model data, by 8 AM, showers are expected for much of the area on Saturday. As the storm passes through, the day is expected to be a washout.
Still, there will be severe winds in the Tampa Bay area today.
According to our resident meteorologist, between 8 AM and 4 PM, the radar resembles what we see with a tropical storm with waves of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
However, if things continue as they are, a large portion of the nasty weather should pass through our area by Sunday morning.
Although there is a 60% probability of rain on Sunday, we expect it to stop before dawn.
