There is just a 10% chance of rain today, but there will be a few more storms this weekend. Saturday and Sunday afternoon rain chances increase to 30%. Highs in the mid-90s continue to set new records.
The tropical wave in the Gulf of Mexico will influence the outlook for next week. As it moves north, it has a 70% chance of developing into a tropical storm or depression, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Whether it forms or not, tropical moisture boosts our odds of rain next week significantly. We could get 3-5 inches of rain depending on how close the system gets to us, and we could use it.
