Tampa Weather Today: Prepare for Late Afternoon Storms this Friday

TBO Digital Staff

With plenty of morning sunshine, temperatures quickly rise in Tampa. The highs will be in the mid-90s, but it will feel like 103-107.

The most of the storms will form late this afternoon and last into the evening. A gentle breeze from the Gulf of Mexico will keep the most of the storms east of I-75.

Saturday's rain chances increase somewhat, but the majority of the rain will still fall in the afternoon, with highs in the low-mid 90s.

On Sunday, a few morning showers are probable, and rain coverage will be slightly better. The rain stops fast in the afternoon.

Because the onshore wind pattern returns for the first part of next week, morning showers are expected Monday and Tuesday.

While the overall coverage of rain remains around 50% into next week, the timing will be slightly different. Early rain is expected to begin the week, with storms developing later in the day toward the end of the week.
